My laptop has a keypad on the side so I am wondering whats the easiest way to map in the 9 keys to basically be a sound effects board?
Watched quite a few djs at a music festival this weekend and I really like the idea of having a sound board but I want to try and use my keyboard instead of buying another unit.
Also if it matters I am using the Hercules DJ 4 Set controller with VirtualDJ LE.

Sorry, the software that you received with your DJ Console is a limited edition and does not support custom mapping (Except during the 20 day trial of the full Pro.)
To be able to use custom mappings, skins, effects and much, much more you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional. Your VirtualDJ LE for Hercules 4Set entitles you to a discount off the cost of upgrading. To receive this, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter your software serial number in the box provided at the bottom of the page.
If you are trying the Pro trial, then you can map the keys via CONFIG -> Mappers -> Keyboard to the following:
sampler 1 play_stop
sampler 2 play_stop
...etc.
