I'm looking to buy my first mixer, i've read reviews through other websites, but i'm wondering how the DJ community views these two mixers. I've noticed that a lot of people go with the MTP, but the Hercules seems like a nice set up. Any opinions?

Are you talking about mixers or MIDI controllers? DJ4Set and Mixtrack are MIDI controllers.

very similar units function wise, mixtrack has larger touch sensitive jogs, but the herc is better built.
soo up to you really. the prices are rather different to. the 4 set i believe is smaller than the MTP.
its 6 and 2 threes really. both have their plusses and bothe have their negatives. i suggest going to dj store that stocks both and paly with each one for an hour or so.

I thought they were very similar, I've had my mind made up for the most part but i think i'm going to take your advice and hit up the DJ store.
I see you have a hercules system and a NMP... which one do you prefer?
