Hi everyone,
this is my 1st post, I've just this week purchased a new macbook pro and installed the virtual dj app that was free. I am currently practising using it as I used to use my ex boyfriend's serato and sometimes DJ'd on his online radio station.
For now I want to get the right way of doing things so have been reading lots of posts, what I'd like to confirm/know is:
1: Do I need a usb sound card to be able to cue my music in some headphones so only I can hear it, would this also allow future use of an additional mic?
2: If I bought a mixer like the hercules RMK would this only be sufficient for use of headphones and a mic? or would I need a usb soundcard as well.
All I'm going to be doing is making mixes and MAYBE doing live radio shows for my ex but that would be in the future not for now.
I don't want to go and spend loads as I won't be making any money from this at all, so the cheapest and SIMPLEST way for me please.
The MACbook pro is the new one, I believe it was updated 2 months ago?
thanks for reading, blessings to all

It depends on what kind of setup you like to use.
But in general, yes because the MBP embedded soundcard is not verry helpful for a DJ.

No, the Hercules RMX hold everything you need.

Therefore the Hercules RMX and the provided VirtualDJ LE is great and also for your start.

With the Hercules RMX or a simular Midi controller you have everything you need!
It is a good controller and the VirtualDJ LE version as well!
If you later on try to go a step further, you can go VDJ Pro Full with a huge discount.
