Topic: In depth of the timecode algorithm, any discussion?

Hi all,
I try to google how timecode signal actually work.
What kind of analog signal it's sending? How to encode and decode the absolute vinyl position?
I only found two related link showed here.

They mentioned that the absolute position were encoded to the two sine wave signals as several 1s and 0s.
Some companies utilize 20 bits while some utilize 23 bits to represent the absolute position.
If these algorithms were not released, how did VDJ developers add so many kinds of timecode vinyls into their support list?
I found that there are more than ten kinds of timecode vinyls and cds are supported in the VDJ configuration.
Can anyone share the information that how these signal can be produced?
At lease, perhaps VDJ developers could tell us how they decode the time code signals.

Thanks for the useful information.
It seems like Torq uses timestamp to determine the playback position.
I have to research more on the "timestamp" application.
However, we still don't know what's exactly inside "Serato" or "VDJ" timecode.
Can anyone share more information about them?

all I have read is that serato use 1000hz, Traktor use 2000hz signal, vdj I assume use the cheaper one, probably the same as torq
