With virtual loaded on my labtop and my external plugged in..i type in elvis and only 2 songs come up....i have over 100 elvis tunes....but if i type in a title, it comes up.....then if i type in elvis again...again only 2 songs and not the one i just saw...any ideas ?

Make sure you have selected "artist" in the search options

Thank you for your quick response, synthet1c. yes, i have the artist, as well as most of the other fields checked off.

maybe something to do with the tags? right click the music folder on ur external hard drive on the explorer screen on the left, click add to search database, then go to options -> browser, do the check, clean and fix. and then try it again
