Has anyone set up the new DENON DN-X600 mixer with VDJ and midi mapping? is there a mapper for this? I have seen some videos and discussions about the build in sound card BUT nothing about midi mapping. I want to see what it can do BEFORE I purchase it. has anyone done anything with this? any videos of the mixer with VDJ and midi mapping??

I'm not a big fan of mappers, I always end up having to do my own because I just want my controller to act differently I guess. Anyway, Why not just map it yourself? Its very easy

Sure I can do that BUT I dont have the mixer yet and BEFORE I decide to purchase I wanted to see what someone has done with the midi mapping on this mixer.. I see lots of discussions here and other places about the built in effects and the sound card BUT nothing about mapping it with virtual DJ which is one of the pieces of software they market it for. I dont want to drop a bunch of money only to find out the midi part does not work....
anyone?
anyone?

I successfully mapped my Denon DN-X1600 which is basicly the same mixer with extra channels, so MIDI-mapping the DN-X600 should work just fine.
However, since the DN-X600 doesn't have a dedicated MIDI-strip like the DN-X1600, there isn't much of anything on this mixer to map to VDJ - maybe the crossfader if you do video, but not much else. It has been discussed numerous times how mapping the EQ and faders to remote control VDJ's internal mixer is a bad idea.

what I wanted to do is be able to MAP the internal VDJ effects and the sampler so I could use either the X600 effects or VDJ effects from the mixer without using the mouse.. same with the sampler but I guess I cant??

You can map everything on the mixer, the channels, the effect section, the crossfader, the master output section, the mic section.
I map the channels when I plan on using VDJ with internal mixing to record my mixes. The mapping all depends on you, how do you plan on using it, Internal or external mixing.
Page 16 of the user manual tells you everything that is mappable.

would there be a way that I could map it to switch between the internal mixer effects and the VDJ effects so I could either select and internal effect or a VDJ effect from the mixer? and turn them on and off from the mixer? also how would I map the SAMPLER in VDJ to the mixer? I guess there isnt enough midi buttons to do this..

I was able to map the master vol and the crossfader. Strange things happen when I try to map the HI-MID-LOW EQ though. It crashes the software. I can map one channel, but when I try to map channel 2, not a chance. Anyone mastered this? I keep hearing that its easy, but....not for me? A little help please?
