Topic: Looping and EQs - Help?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Im working on a new mix. Heres what it is so far: http://soundcloud.com/katblue/da-tossbackz
How can I bring in the next song sounding smoother using loops - I get timing and beat-matching,
but what about the EQs?

Any kind of pointers will greatly be appreciated. Anything that will send me towards the right direction :)

Thank you for your time.

not listened to your mix yet, but it sounds to me from your description that your crossfading?

instead of crossfading try undermixing, leave the fader in the centre position and turn the EQ all the way down, cue up, hit play and turn the EQ up gradually to bring in the next track and fade out the current track.

depending on the track structure depends on what to bring in first, although i tend to fade in/out the hi range (trebel) first due to variations in bass lines and mid range being in need of more attention.

play around with it and youll soon find its a million times better than fading.
