Topic: O.k. just read it again so I'm asking....

Boys! do you really have to take a skins files (xml & bmp) and Re-zip it after modifing something OR while in the Virtual Dj skin folfer? beats me,I've been using the files without a zip pack and they work fine...Any real reason to do this?

No you do not need to re-zip the skin files to use the Skin in VirtualDJ.

This is true,I don't ZIP anything during the build. I only ZIP them for submission to the site

I think the zipping has to do with the download form the VDJ site ( and a little space reduction on your hard drive)
if u look at the skin Virtual dj 7 (4 decks ) its zipped about 7 mb
when i unzip i get over 100 mb thats a big differ ;) and a good reason to zip it :)
nowadays most operating systems can work inside zipfiles so why not let it , in zipped state my skins are less than 100 mb ( yes i got a lot i still am playing with them) if i should unzip them all its over 1gb!
