Hello
Does the first version of spin work with virtual dj 7?

If you mean the Vestax Spin, then yes it should do, unless it is running an unusual or very early firmware.

NOTE: Due to the fact that the same ID was used for both Spin and Typhoon for earlier units (Spin was never intended for use with other DJ software), in some cases Spin controllers may be detected as a Typhoon depending on the firmware version installed. Unfortunately nothing can be done about this. However, both use a nearly identical MIDI protocol, so it's simply a matter of changing the mappings of a few of the buttons that have different functions on the Typhoon.

Reloop Spin2+ is natively supported as a MIDI controller and can be used as a low latency ASIO sound card for timecode use.

However, the control vinyl records/CD's included may not be compatible because these are designed for Reloop's own software. However, you can easily replace these with either VirtualDJ's timecode CD's (Free to create using the file from http://www.virtualdj.com/products/timecode/cd.html ) or Serato CV02 vinyl.

If it is an ASIO sound card with standard ASIO drivers, then it should work. But the vinyls and CD's probably won't.

If like the Spin2+ it also has MIDI capabilities (Spin2+ has some buttons and knobs on top), then these will not work unless you manually map it yourself.
