I'm experiencing a problem with Virtual DJ's sound quality. I've done DPC Latency checks, latency is fine. Safe mode unchecked, latency set to auto.

I've narrowed it down and I think I'm getting too high, high frequencies. If that makes sense. When I crossfade or adjust volume, the oncoming song sounds rough... the highs appear to be too high (even with matched bpm/beats). I recorded a mix and imported it into audacity, and I used the lowpass filter to cut the high frequencies, and what do you know... the sound is much cleaner. I've played with the gains, I've downloaded the latest Hercules RMX drivers (problem persists with or without hercules), played with latency, changed speakers, sound doesn't change on my laptop.... Is it just me? Is Virtual DJ's sound really that bad?
