Macbook pro
hercules rmx
VDJ LE
I can't cue, crossfade, or adjust volume levels whatsoever. Im pretty sure it has something to do with the headphone cues.
I only have control over the deck that the cue select is on, and even then, the volume faders and the crossfader dont do shit.
Under system preferances- sound
INPUT: Internal microphone, line in, RMX, and RMX AGGREGATE
OUTPUT: Internal speakers, RMX, and RMX AGGREGATE
I think is has to do with having the right combination of the above.
On a side note, what is the current version of vdj?
and yes, i do have all the drivers.
THANKS A LOT IM REALLY STRESSED :D

Step #1, take a breather
Step#2, did it ever occured to you that in a weekend US DJs may be in a gig? Yes, most of us are DJs and have jobs. So, a weekend is the hardest time to get answers.
Step #3, Did you buy the full version of VDJ? or just using the one that comes with Hercules rmx?
Sorry you're stressed out, it happens, you have to be patient, most likely is something you're doing wrong. There is also a help desk at ts.hercules.com
On your input, I don't know why you have anything, it should be nothing, you only need the output to be Hercules Rmx.
I'm no expert, and now I'm only talking by memory. Let me start my vdj / hercules and see what settings work for me.
Also, I have the full VDJ pro, so my settings and screens might be different.

try
Input: None
Output: headphones (there should be a picture of a headphone and a speaker)
Soundcard: Hercules Rmx.
I see you have vdj LE, so you should be able to use all the buttons of the hercules, however, you're gonna want to buy the Pro Full version to get the config button which will give you tons of options.
Also, glad that you bought your Hercules and have the decency to not get the pirated version of VDJ,
that being said, welcome to VDJ and hope it works for ya. It's not everyone's fave but I've come to like it a lot. I've been using it for a bit over 2 years.

Since I'm not a "support" guy, I don't really know if there's a way around that. However I bought VDJ full and been happy with it. With your Hercules purchase you can get vdj for half the price, that's a really good deal in my opinion.

If you don't want to upgrade to Pro at this time, you can download and install VirtualDJ Home FREE http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html and use this to set your sound settings back to the correct settings for VirtualDJ Console Edition:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Hercules
NOTE: Home FREE will only work for 10 minutes at a time with a MIDI controller connected as a trial of the full VirtualDJ Pro, but this is more than enough time to set the correct sound settings and then exit the program. After you have done this, you can revert back to DJ Console Edition.
You will also need to have the latest DJ Console drivers and firmware installed for it to work with the latest versions of the software. A link to download this can be found on the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common_Device_Drivers.html
NOTE: Your RMX DJ Console entitles you to a significant discount (50%) off upgrading to the full VirtualDJ Professional. To receive this, please go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
