Topic: Since using VDJ I've always had

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

low headphone output, I put this down to the crappie all in one controllers I was using however I recently bought the MP-X10 which is a mixer too so I expected not to have to struggle anymore. Wrong, it's still low!

What can I do? can I alter in settings somewhere?

PS,

It's not the headphones either.

You can use the function "headphone_gain" to increase the volume reference of the headphones in VirtualDJ.

(Some skins have a knob with this function)

Are you plugged into the CPU or into the mixer? I have the C3USB and it has a headphone plug. It can get so loud, I believe you will rip your head off. I've never had it above halfway.

Did the headphone_gain work for you Charlie? I have a new vms4 with the same low headphone output. When I change the script for the headphone volume knob (headphone_gain +30) it has no affect - headphone output still low. I suspect this is controlled in the hardware as it doesnt matter what you put for the midi script, it has no effect on what the knob does. Ideas?
