Topic: Numark NDX400 HELP!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey VDJ Users,

I recently got a Numark NDX400 and the Numark M3 Mixer. Works Great! Except, I was wondering if I can connect it to some type of software... Maybe VDJ, Traktor, CUE, etc. What kind of cord would I need to plug it in to my computer? Please give me a link where I can buy one online. Also, I don't care if I have to buy the Software, I will do what I have to do. Please give me a very detailed answer with links to buy the things listed above and anything else you think could help me a long the way!

Thanks So much!!

It doesn't look like u can use the ndx400's to use as a controller for software.

The NDX400 is not MIDI enabled, but you can use them with Timecode CD's.

For this, you will need a 4in-4out sound card (such as the Maya 44), Timecode CD's (Virtual DJ offer Timecode downloads that you can burn to your own CDR's), then set up Virtual DJ for use with Timecode.

simon bailey will i be able to attatch my 2 numark ndx 400 to traktor pro audio 8, it has time coded cd's?

I think we have to use asio soundcard 2 of them for the ndx400s for 1 and one

so where do you found the soundcard and timecodes? I recently purchased the ndx-400's and already have virtual dj limited edition setup with my other deck. What are the list of things I need and where do i find them? In desparate need to get a software program with these controllers! hard to get used to cds after using software
