Topic: VDJ Pro 7 & Windows 7 x64 compatibility

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I tried out the trial version on my home PC and really likes the software, however, i cant drag my desktop to gigs...so if i can get these questions answered i will be purchasing the software today for my laptop.

I am running a HP - DVX-I7 quad core , 8GB RAM , 1024 Nvidia Graphics card, HD 5.1 surround sound, 500 GB HDD...the laptop is powerful enough for most anything...my real concern is the compatibility between VDJ 7 & Windows 7 x64. As for what i am using it for, i do gig's all up and down the east coast of the US. I currently am running my Pioneer DJM-600, & 2 Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2's & want to bring the laptop into the scenario.

Is VDJ stable with Windows 7 x64?

Thank you,

The recommended hardware requirements can be found at the bottom of the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html

The latest VirtualDJ v7 is fully compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. However, some older hardware such as old DJ sound cards may not have drivers that are compatible with 64-bit Operating Systems. If you use any such hardware, please check that it has compatible drivers by going to the manufacturer's website(s).

NOTE: VirtualDJ Home FREE is for non-commercial use only. It cannot be used at gigs where you are being paid. For commercial use, you will need to purchase a VirtualDJ product: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

If you wish to use your Pioneer CDJ 800's with timecode CD's to control VirtualDJ, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Home FREE does not support MIDI controllers or timecode (Except for 10 minutes at a time as a trial of Pro features.)
