i have a rmx.....since lately i have seen my crossfader on the screen jumping from left to right without me touching anything....How can i fix this?
Posted Thu 20 Jan 11 @ 8:16 am
clean it....you probably need to clean and lube your fader. that should do the trick. if not there maybe somethiing running in the background thats choking your ram or cpu usage.

i have tried cleaning.....still jumping
Posted Fri 21 Jan 11 @ 7:28 am
sprayed something inside..seems to stop for a while....let me watch it

might seem silly but have you checked your settings to make sure nothing changed ie autocrosfade ect or a shortcut button,,,just a thought

i did all that....the crossfader on the skin just jumps and shifts when it wants.......so its almost impossible to mix......almost like it has a mind of its own
Posted Fri 21 Jan 11 @ 1:12 pm
take it you have deleted the skin and redownloaded it just in case its the skin.....or maybe even download drivers for rmx or a fresh download of vdj...
not saying you dont know your styff but i always go bit by bit especially if it wasnt happening before

Try disabling the crossfader in Options an use the faders. See if the crossfader still jumps around.
Also check your keyboard mappings. Make sure there's no weird key mappings to the crossfader...
Cheers,
Roy

yeh might be a shortcut issue mate.....as said above disable crossfader and try again.....
never had this prob with rmx when using it......just check your mappings and see what crossfader is set to do

Exchange for a new one, I just had the same problem. I am waiting for mine to come back now.
To simplify it, the best test is to just try it on 2 different computers.
Prepare to be bored.

Use this mini monitor program to check your unit controls, it's a simple test, but it may be related to a latency issue in your system that's effecting your controller, are you having a problem with your curser too..?
Use the Mini Monitor and send the result to tech support and they'll respond with a fix if it's the unit..the utilities are good tools to have and use like Gamebooster, it shuts down background services you don't need and Latency checker it tests your system for latency issues...hope you find a solution...

thank u very much...in regards to the mini monitor etc....how does it work...i downloaded it, but was kinda lost

When you start click the start button in the "Min Monitor" window, then at the main dialog window press F1 key to get all information on what to do, it's a simple program you'll read and start using it rightaway, but it's best that you understand it a little first so that will be my bast advice to you....
You can also highlight the data in the output window then copy and paste to notepad and use it as an attachment if you like as an alt, but make sure you send it to tech support so they can evaluate and give you the right advice...

Try the other tools then and see if that bring you better results, you have a difficult problem and it's going to require work and time to solve...
...and there is an option to recieve a english version of the manual with the link in plain view as soon as you open it...
Use the mouse and keyboard shortcuts at the gig for now....
I'm sure you will resolve it..

Hey marlonb, don't try to email them I tried to email them myself to help you with the manual, but got a "Mail delivery failure" massage, so I will try to find it and give you the link, that is if I find it, meanwhile I have something for you to use...
