ok so still battling the pops n clicks with TC but other than that i like the VMS4 for NON TC use so far. one issue that has seemed to come out of no where is vdj freezes when i use the effect knob on the VMS4. let me explain.
i have a video/song playing on any deck as soon i use the sound effect knob on the vms4 VDJ stops responding. the screen freezes it won't respond when i click on the window. the music and or videos will still play if i have songs loaded in a playlist and set it to automix it will continue to go down the list as if nothing was wrong. the ONLY way to restart vdj is with task manager and force shut down.
I am using VDJ 6.1.1 currently i have tested it with VDJ LE and VDJ 7 using the same mapper (with VDJ7) and it does not happen in either versions. i can scroll through effects with no problems. this ONLY freezes VDJ 6.1.1 (my version of choice) the only thing i have done installing the vms4 drivers/VDJ LE was bios and video card driver updates.
any ideas would be great.

Maybe because in your effect list ther are some effects that work only with ver 7? For example Flanjet TexZK is for ver 7 created. I'm not sure if those effects work with earlier versions, maybe TexZK will verify this.

i haven't added, deleted or changed any effects specially audio effects. any other ideas?

Any effects installed automatically with V7 will still be there. Installing 6.1 doesn't wipe them.
Check all the ones in your effects folder are V6 compatible.

i don't have VDJ 7 on the machine i use CUE 7 for testing so again there are NO new effects in the folder.
Sorry i just seen i had posted VDJ 7 not CUE 7 which is what i used.
also how would one know what version its for other than looking on the dl page?

SOLVED!
i must have clicked MIDLOWLATENCY with the registry tool. i unclicked it and BAMM! no more freeze!
