Any plans for future compatibility with PCDJ's midid capable DAC3?

well if it ever ships :) being a midi device by default vdj already has support for it.

Jason - will it ever ship? And then, will it be mappable?

I need hardware. Do I wait for the DAC3, take the DAC2, or stick to time coded CD...?

Oh, and Virtual DJ is all about doing it the same way as everyone else?

Yes, that unit does look unique, and what a concept!

Jason - should I buy one? You know I rely on your opinion (instruction) with anything to do with my Virtual DJ. After all, it was your persuasion at the DJ Chat forums that sold me... ;-)

Just phoned up pcdj.uk - My dac-3 still has not arrived. I WANT IT NOW. of course I've never actually tried one - but they look great !!!

Being MIDI I'm sure VDJ will be great with it. (even if ya need a plugin) - I wonder if those wheels spin freely like the hercules (for scratching), or if it they only spin an Inch each way like a denon controller for going back 1 min etc, selecting tracks. Never actually played with a DAC2 either, how do they work?. XP10's a little expensive. I want to 19" rackmount everything anyway. I suspect a 19" version of the hercules would be good, but I don't think they are built to last.

By the way, I have a touch screen monitor which works well for most functions in VDJ too, but obviously the response is not instant like a proper controller... I'm hoping the combo between the DAC3 and the Touchscreen with VDJ will be awesome !

Nick,

Congrats in advance, I'm interested in how it feels and works with a DAC-3. Let my known about it.

Good Luck!
