You need a bigger monitor.

Thanks for turning the lights on Rick!!

No problem Rob, but a note to others on this.
V7 multi deck is waaay to busy for smaller resolutions.
For those with higher resolutions like 1900, its best at this time to lower to the skin default you wish to use.
I am sure new things will be happening, but for now enjoy what is there and learn it.

I'd also like the 4 deck pro skin for 1024 x 768 (unfortunately this is my maximum monitor size for the foreseeable future!)

That is not an answer!
My gig laptop also works in 1024x768, and 5-6 years ago this was a very good (Centrino M proc.) and pricey piece of gear (cca. 1000 €) - still working fine, audio mixing

It's a perfectly good answer IMHO. 1024x768 is the minimum required specification for VDJ. Thats absolute minimum! Granted there are smaller skins but they are community contributed, and there is only so much you can fit in such a small space without it being cluttered.
I'm sure someone will create a 1024x768 4 deck skin at some point. If it's something you require more urgently then you can always create it yourself.

In fairness I'd say it is only a matter of time before someone posts one from the community. The additional decks don't require a huge amount of screen space and now that the excellent new browser expansion facility has been added there is not as much of a requirement to retain space at the bottom as there was before.
Like another user has just said my laptop cost me €1450 only 3 years ago (xp pro still working fine) and I've been buying more gear since so can't justify another upgrade just now...

That's great that it still works but hardware and software technology waits for no one.
The fact is that the physical room that the 7 multi deck interface requires is already tight on a 1280 resolution.
I agree you may see a multi deck 1024 skin, but expect some features to be removed which was not an option for the flagship 7 default skins.
We also have many requests for netbook skins, does this mean a 4 deck skin will fit? I doubt it very much.

*Traktor has 4 decks & it runs fine in 1024x768
*Sata hard drives are a computer standard these days, does it mean I can't use 4 of my pata disks no more ? (that run fine on XP & 7)
*LCD television displays are a standard today, does it mean I can't use my really nice CRT no more? (broadcasting mpeg2 in Croatia)
*mp3 is a standard today, does it mean I can't use my original CD's no more & should throw away a nice pair of CDJ's?
*.......
It seems, (too often) like we are convinced in a lot of things- that just don't hold. And a lot of money wasting!

My resolution on my laptop is 1366x768. Will this work for the vdj skins the right way? since there is no skin with that resolution what is the best skin size I shoud use?

djzare - you aren't listening to what is being said.
The VDJ team decided that their look and feel with the expected feature set of an official VDJ skin wouldn't suit a 1024x768 resolution with 4 decks. If you want a 4 deck 1024x768 skin then you can either wait until someone makes one or make one yourself.
That is their decision to make - it does state in the system requirements that the minimum resolution is 1024x768. As with other specifications when you run the minimum you may not get all the features. Luckily VDJ includes a method that allows you to customise it so you can cram 4 decks into that small space if you want.

Ok, ok- I still think it should have been included, as a standard. And then let customers to choose.
It's fair to presume if someone had a bigger resolution available- he would then use it.
Skin resizer, tried it before- didn't like it :( Haven't got time or the nerves do deal with work arounds.
Hey, v7 at least sounds better :)
