Virtualdj has been very stable for me until now, but there are some bugs reported MANY times but never corrected.

-That old bug #1:
--------------------
The music skips (or mutes) for a second (or less) when tweaking the Eq FOR THE FIRST TIME,
after that, its safe to use eq..
(mouse/keyboard/controller/fader eq)

-That old bug #2:
--------------------
Playing big files from disk without loading them into memory first, has been always "risky" with Virtualdj.
Especially in ASIO mode.
Again its weird that skips/mutes happens ONLY THE FIRST TIME.
Let me give an example: Load a 60min (mix) track and set the play possition near to its end, lets say at 50 min, (or go to a cue point at that time)
This will produce a skip (or mute, or freeze) to the other deck, BUT ONLY THE FIRST TIME.
After that you can go to anywhere in the track, between 0 to 50min, WITHOUT PROBLEM.
Now lets say the file was not 60min but 120. After clicking at 50min Vdj will freeze/skip the same way, but then you can move between 0 to 50min, WITHOUT PROBLEM but not between 51 to 120mins.
If you go to (lets say) 119 min the music will skip again, the first time.
But after that the whole track will ..."unlock".
You can jump at any possition, use cue points etc, No skips...
Looks like an annoying "indexing" problem to me.

PS. Dont waste your time by saying: dont play big files, change the max load settings, i know all that..., and about the 60-120min tracks they are just examples to better describe the problem.

@Team.. please fix these old bugs...
They exist from version 1.x

I can add to this list the problem with the: not accurarate - "double" start, with Timecode cd's (cdj-100).

In the past i was said you need to have 1024Mo of RAM to avoid this issue...

I use external mixer's eq's also, but i like the fader eq's (you can be creative)
But i'm afraid to use them now...

Djcel,
1. no matter the ram you have, there be always a file that didn't fit in...
2. I dont see the point to load a really big file into Ram, disk streaming is better and faster..
3. Besides its a bug, it happens only the first time...

lol it's the same thing and i don't like Byte as people don't make the difference between B (Bytes) and b (bits)
Sorry but in this case, the English word is not well chosen
