Topic: how to create a shortcut to jump 4 beats back/forward?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Guys,

I was looking at the keyboard shortcuts and it looks like thre is a key(s) combo that you ahve to press in order to jump 4 beats back/forward. I want to create a 1 key shortcut for each action. How can I do this? Also to jump 1 beat back/forward? thanks.

do this :

Go to keyboard shortcuts setting

choose :
turntable >> skip_beat >> choose value and deck
and asign it to a free key on keyboard

value -4 wil skip 4 beats backwords, value 4 will skip 4 beats forwards

hope this was what you where asking for

Yep, thanks. That was easy. I cant believe I didnt see it.

There are many usefull commands/actions.
Virtual dj is the best dj software by far in keyboard programming, especially the way it creates batch.
(many actions in the same key)

ill type in ( skip_beat ) on the keyboard settings but nothing comes up and it wont skip forward or backwards. whats going on? i had it set on my microsoft laptop but now its not on the mac.

wow this thread is old! I don't think 'skip_beat' works anymore... use

goto +4
goto-4

or

seek +4
seek-4

skip_beat is a depreciated action from a very old version of VirtualDJ. This topic is nearly 8 years old!

As above, please use goto
