I want monitor for mixing, not produce (and some time listen to music with my computer). I was thinking to buy the JBL LSR2300 Series (2 8" and a 10" sub + MSC1) but when I saw the 4300 Series (2 8" and a 12" sub), I was like: OMG!!!
1. But is that serie will be too much for a small bedroom?
2. 2300 Series will be better for a bedroom?
3. And if I animate a party in a basement (can you animate a party with monitors)?
4. Why not choosing show speakers (1000 w), it's the same price?
5. If I choose the 4300 Series, how will I plug it to my computer (I only have an Hercules RMX)?

For production you would want a "close field" monitor. For live mixing, anything that is loud enough, and gives you the tonal quality you're looking for, would work. Some DJs like to hear the bass, others like to hear the mids, etc. etc. etc.... So, once again, it is a matter of personal taste....
