i have recently had to change from a pnp soundcard to an onboard soundcard due to technical malfunctions that occured with the pnp. After switching the devices the new soundcard shows in the drop down list for configuration and i have selected it but when i attempt to start recording on broadcasting it gives me an error message reading soundcard unavailable. need help soon have gigs coming up in two days that i need to be able to stream for.

Hello,
Did your pnp sound card was a Creative labs one? broadcast isn't linked to any recording sound card at all, unless you use external mixer and LINE IN. Did your onboard sound card has an available line in? because if you want to record using line in input, you have to select it from there. But if you have this shared MIC/LINE input, then you need to check if it is available in your OS current sound card setting.
