I have a visual element on my skin. Is it possible to add a button or a fader above it?
Right now the way I tried it it works, but the button dissapears as soon as the visual element refresh itself...

Have you tried using a mask for the visual element?

In the mask, set to white, the part where the button is.

Thanks for the reply Jerem. I already tried that...
Here's the slider code:

<slider action="master_volume" orientation="horizontal" dblclick="master_volume 100%" rightclick="temporary">
<pos x="443" y="8"/>
<size width="147" height="10"/>
<up x="443" y="8"/>
<down x="443" y="8"/>
<selected x="443" y="8"/>
<clipmask x="1272" y="1722"/>
<fader>
<pos x="1069" y="1393"/>
<size width="9" height="9"/>
</fader>
</slider>

The clipmask area is completely white for the entire slider range.
What I'm trying to do is to put the fader above a custom vu meter. I want to have the vu-meter and above that the knob of the fader.

The way it is now it's working like this:
When I'm not teasing the slider I see the only the vu-meter. When I click on the fader and move it I see the knob, but not the vu-meter. When I release the knob I see the vu-meter again, but not the knob.

So, is it possible to get a fader (let's say the chan's volume fader) above the vu-meter?

You need to have the clipmask on the visual element not so important on the slider.

Can you post a screenshot?? Alternatively PM me and I'll give you my email to take a look.

Then it seems that what I want to do is impossible for the moment...

Let me put it this way: I have a custom Vu-meter that's 147 x 10 pixels. Also I have a slider that's 147 x 10 pixels.
I want to put the slider on top of the vu so that I can see the vu and on top of the vu to see only the knob of the slider.

If I put a clipmask on the vu then it will force the entire vu to dissapear since the fader covers it all...

Aaaah. Yes that is impossible at the moment with the current skin engine.

Like the idea though. Would it not work if you have the slider knob slightly bigger than the VU, so effectively
the slider would stick out the side slightly??

It could work this way, yes, but that's not how I want it to be....

Anyaway, thanks!

I agree it isn't what you want. Was just throwing the idea out there......

Look forward to seeing your creation.
