I am wondering if QuickTime videos can be used for video mixing in VDJ?

In the extensions config, I don't see a QuickTime video decoder listed, but I did associated the QuickTime audio decoder with the .mov extension. Strangely, that works if you just want the audio from the quicktime video, but the video portion is obviously not displayed.

Has anyone else gotten .mov videos to work in VDJ?
Any reason not to even bother trying to do this would be welcome as well ;)

Thanks,
-Frd

Don't know about playing them directly in vdj but the only program that I've found which cleanly and effectively converts qt into mpeg is tmpgenc 3.0 express editor. I've bought the full version which has batch processsing and is proving invaluable in converting my mp2 files into something more playable in the current version of vdj. as well as the qt trick

You have to install quicktime codecs in your system.

I only install the QuickTime 6.5 in my computer and VDJ works fine. Maybe because I install VDJ after I have installed QT. I also use divx and put the divx extension in VDJ with videodecoder option an it work too.

I found that VDJ works better with MPEG-1 than other sources.
