My new skin. Just a few things that are necessary. A lot of space for browser. There will be a video pannel of course and different customicons for the files. It will be released in a week at 1280X800 & 1440X90.

What do you thing of it?

Looks nice and has a lot of features, but I would prefer having the browser text in white.

Then it wouldnt be "Rusty" ....hehehe...

,,,but that's something you can easily change.

I have to thank Apopsis, actually my ONLY beta tester, not only for advising, but also for his contribution to the skin, as he is responsible for the colors variations.

So Skin available at 1280X800 & 1440X900 in 4 different colors (orange, orange blue, dark, grey)

Hi djdad,

sorry i didn't answer earlier to your PM but I didn't get much time to test your skin.

First of all, you should add some "<over>" elements for all buttons. This helps alot to know what is clickable and what isn't.

Second, your skin is a v6 skin. Did you know that in v6 skins you can use text instead of number for pannel's ID?
It would be easier for you when coding the skin if you change all 'id="41"' by 'id="pitchleft"' for example.
 
Well, the idea of this skin is to be simple, and is adressed to djs who control VDJ with controllers, Cds, external mixers, keyboard shortcuts etc. I personally avoid using mouse, so the "over" element is actually useless.
I addded buttons like PLAY, CUE, SYNC even though i never click them with the mouse, just ... in case. I added kill EQ buttons because some mixers dont have any, and added EQ-Crossfaders because unfortunately none audio mixer have those usefull things.

Actually i intend to add to the next update, which will be soon, an even more minimal skin with much less buttons, and even no video.

Now for the ID Pannels, i ddnt know that, it would be helpfull for someone to understand better the xml file, but again it doesnt changes much.

We made some last minute changes with Apopsis (i feel like having a partner in the skin..lol), so it might take a while until approved. Stay tuned.

Try the Skin Resizer Tool. Even with Simple Resize Option, it will do the Job.

If you can wait for a month, there will be an update (allready working on it) and propably more resolutions will be added.
 
I love it. im gonna use it tonight.
love the flashing border around the songpos at the end of the track.

ive fixed the STOP button from being a pause button..
and for my own purposees, ive re-sized the browser to 1280x1024


gonna roll with it tonight, so i'll let you all know if i find any glitches, but in testing it all looks gravy :)

One request my friend. Is it possible that you can increase the size of the video panel in the center. I'm a vj and love the size of the browser and overall color but the center video panel is eye straining.
