Hi guys, ive been using virtual for mixing videos many years now on a 4u pc server without any problems what so ever except carrying this heavy equipment around, so i decided to buy a Laptop. i checked all the min spec for mixing video's on a laptop and brought the following
Fujitsu Amilo Pi 3560
Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T6600 2.2ghz
Windows® 7 Home Premium 32 bit
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 240M (with 1 GB VRAM) using latest drivers
500 GB hard disc capacity
4 GB memory
2tb eSATA Drive
Sound card maya 44 usb using latest drivers
Ive loaded the latest version of 6.0.5, but sadly its not working very well. The software is freezing when Im using the mouse pad to search for videos's. It wont load new audio samples and play them plus it locks up a lot when changing any clipbank clips. I understand that the cpu will run high on loading a video but the cpu idles randomly high as well, none of this happens on my server pc. The laptop is not running hot either. Please can somebody help me.

theres a huge pile of these threads on the forum. VDJ/Newer laptops/Windows 7 are not getting along very well right now.
