I was messing around a bit with my TTM-57 and it looks like it gives a sound only to it's right channel. The mixture of both virtual decks goes out on my TTM's right chanel.
So is it possible at all to use TTM-57 like fully functional device for VDJ at this point?

Id like to know this too. I'm looking at buying that mixer to use with virtual vinyl.

I don't think that is possible to use TTM-57 as a sound card with VDJ just yet.
Or am I wrong?

OK so I tried TTM-57 with Windows 7 and it runs like a sound card, but no midi buttons neither the crossfader can't control video transitions.
I tried same thing with Mac (Snow Leopard 10.6.2) and it gives me only left channel/deck out. The right channel/deck is muted.
When I switch to headphones mode (instead of external mixer) then it gives me both decks on the left channel of my TTM-57.
Outputs: EXTERNAL MIXER
Sound card: 4 OUT CARD (sometimes I get "TTMSL Line 1", and other time: "TTMSL Line 2")
TTM Mixer firmvare v3.20 (the latest)
When I get "TTMSL Line 1" then my lefft cannel on TTM-57 plays, when is: "TTMSL Line 2", then right channel. In any case the sound comes out only from the left deck on the VSL software.
- Any fixes for this, or is no way possible to run Rane TTM-57 + Virtual DJ on Mac currently? Even as a sound card?
- Also is there a way to midi map Rane TTM-57 for Virtual DJ on Windows 7?

Unfortunately Rane TTM-57SL is not MIDI compatible - It uses a proprietary protocol and is currently locked to Serato.
It also cannot be used for timecode either - The inputs do not function (Serato has proprietary support.)
You would be better using a standard MIDI compatible mixer that is compatible with ANY DJ software, e.g; Pioneer DJM-800

The Rane will work with all its features. You have to midi map all the controls though! If nothing else buy the Vestax 05 pro 4 it works VDJ6 also I would pick up m-audio's Connective Box then you have basicaly the ttm57 mixer

Trying to replace Serato with VDJ at a club. Getting buzzing through the RANE TTM 57SL mixer only with VDJ, not Serato.
Anyone successfully get this mixer to work with VDJ 7? Box is Windows 7 64-bit. Plenty of RAM and video.

Yes you can run VDJ on a 57. In fact, you can run VDJ on any soundcard (traktor, pcdj, serato, torq, spin+, and more)…..In the config of VDJ you just have to set it correctly. This includes the right timecode or HID mode/ calibration / and midi mapping if you use it. I am currently running VDJ on the Serato SL2 box and the TTM57.
For those people having problems:
Only one channel plays? Look at the back of the mixer and make sure the little blue box with white switches are all down or up (depending on what you are using. Down = Sets the channels to Phono which is needed for turntable input / Up is Line In = controllers & cdjs
Getting a buzz when using VDJ with Serato? Check your ground. Next, touch the ground on the mixer. If it still does it, touch the serato box. If it does, then you found your problem. If it does go away, it's the software so you need to make sure your config is correct. You have to pick the correct timecode cd or vinyl. Example: I had mine set for CV02-A ….which is Side A of the vinyl…but I was using B so that screwed me up. If you are using needles you need to calibrate them. Go to the timecode screen and make sure the circles are as round as possible then increase the SILENCE button until the gray center is just inside the green timecode rings. This eliminates extra sound from messing up the tone.
If anyone has more questions let me know.
