This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is it possible to assign a colour to a certain frequency range in the top wave form.
For instance in Deckadance, which is Imageline's mixing software, the bass shows up red, high another colour etc.
It's very useful for genres such as Dubstep etc.

I can't see it being possible at present unless you have the source code to the entire VDJ application.
