i am using a macbook os 10.5.8 and VDJ 6.0.5. and using my mini dvi out with a dynex video adapter .
how do i configure it so only the video appears on the screen or club and not showing the whole desktop screen on the tv?

When you plug in your mini dvi adapter the machine should auto detect and dump you into display properties.
From there on the right side there is a "detect" button and then you will position your windows and desired resolutions.
Then in vdj just click conifg/video, click the drop box and select the video card, select activate and you should be good to go.
