Hello!
I am using the Hercules dj console right now, and with the new feature in VDJ2.1(using only one turntable) i am wondering can i use the console, a turntable(with TCV) and an external mixer combined. Do i need a nother sound card. If i need a nother sound card , can i still use the console to control the other deck and other buttons.
I know i have to buy VDJ first.

you would need the full version for more than one soundcard support

yes, hercules can be used to control the programme.
Doesn't matter if the sound is passing thru it or not.

you can use the console, a turntable(with TCV) and an external mixer combined.
You would need another soundcard if you are going to use 2 turntables, such as the Maya44 soundcard (USB)

you can use the console line in, or even the pc soundcard line in (with asio4all drivers... www.asio4all.com) it can work good
Problem with Hercules, is that there is no volume for line-in.
But it should work.
Another problem is that the asio drivers from Hercules have had some issues..
But still... it should work
And I know that somebody here is using hercules just like that

I am sure someone has already tryed this, please give me some info!
I am hot sure if i can use the pc soundard line in when the dj console is in use , cause it takes over the control of the onboard sound card(i think it disables it)?

the Hercules console should not disable the onboard pc soundcard....
Matter of fact, I use BOTH..... Onboard soundcard for samples
Regarding timecode use with Hercules line-in, I'm sure someone have tested that??
Anyone?

Well i gues i will have to try it myself!
Would it be of any help if i buy a turntable that has a selectable output (PHONO or LINE), that means it has a amplifier Built in?

VDJ have a software pre-amp.
