This whole Christmas thing scares me, I'm afraid of Santa Claus. This apparently means I'm "Claustrophobic".

Merry Christmas to all of my friends here on VDJ forums!!
I'm enjoying an especially good Xmas, I was in the hospital for the last week (released on the 23rd) due to a blackout and subsequent fall that nearly paralyzed me. I fractured a vertebra in the cervical spine area of my neck as well as herniating a disk. The black out hasn't been determined because after running every test possible the results came back that I am in absolute perfect health (other than the fall injury). The educated guess is stress.
This all occurred while bringing my gear back home after a corporate Xmas party gig midweek. My day job has been hectic as of late and the wife and I had been at odds, etc... etc...
So anyway I'm certainly counting my blessings, I could have easily died or worse, quadriplegic. Thank God I did have insurance after-all, the wife has us with Kaiser. Those $1100+ monthly premiums have paid off, bring on the morphine!! lol.
Happy Holidays to all!!!!

Get well soon Paul
Pretty scary when you get blindsided by things beyond your control despite good heath.
It can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone.
Might need a video tutorial done if you are up to it btw.

Thanks Rick. Believe it or not about two months ago I started to do a video called "Fitness for DJs" since I'm a real fitness hound who also happens to be a DJ. I hear other DJs (some 15 years my junior or more) complain about their backs and having trouble carrying around their gear.
I got about a third of the way through it and decided that I needed to redo the whole thing because I felt what I was saying may have been offensive to some of our "heavier" DJs out there. Not that what I was saying was offensive in any way, but it could have been construed as such.
I will do another one but this time with a slightly different outlook...
