Version 2.1 has been optimised to take advantage of the new processing power. However, if your computer is too slow or you lack memory, you can still revert to the old behavior by going in the general options and changing the "reactivity" parameter to medium, or even slow.

do you have timestrech enabled ?
are the decks in beatmatch mode ?
Is it playing at original speed or did you modify the pitch ?
is it exactly 2 minutes ?
on every song ?

Are you sure you wait for the end of the loading before playing? I prefer advising that even you could play the song
When does the song skip? Give me more details: length of the song, mp3 or wma, when skipping (describe position and visual),...
Which option of memory do you use in the settings? (time)
and please write your computer config inside your blog. Help will be better and faster ;-)

is it a pause and songs continues to play where it has to continue
the song just skips to anythor part without pause
or the songs just "mutes" for a while

dont get that every 2 mins but exactly the same thing happens when you first move the bass eq for each deck. it has done this in many versions...

I have this when I search through the database. I click on database. No skip, then I hit the first character -> skip, second character -> skip, third character -> skip, all the other characters it doesn't skip.
I have 51000 songs in the database. It seems that the "search" thread has more priority then the "play music" thread. I also found out that the problem is far more noticable playing audio through Asio then playing audio in wma mode.
The longer I play with VDJ the worse it get

@djzero, are you sure this bug its still there in 2.1 ?
I had this also with fader eqs (its the same bug) but not with 2.1 yet, but i dont use the software eq so much, can you confirm ?
@Superstorm, its because of the many tracks, but you have right Audio must have the first priority. A possible solution/fix for big databases is to setup (in options) how many characters Virtual dj to ignore (1,2..3) when you start typing before searching and show results.
Example: When you type an "a" first it has no meaning at all in a database of 51000 songs..
- A good idea for the new features forum to ask if you like.
As for Asio its true, it is much more sensitive, i have crackles when use some plugins too (like the 16/32 bands eq's) and also skips when loading songs that not fit in memory.
