Without using an external mixer I'm affraid your going to need something bigger than a PV1500, I did it once like that but used a GPS3400 that I had back then.
Get another mixer and you'll be back in business, remember a RMX is a midi controller. Had hell on trying to get this through to Isrort!

Charlie,
Also talking to Studio on PM as well... I know he gets the whole MIDI controller/mixer differences...
My problem was not having any experience with the Peaveys. To me they seem more like a subwoofer than a full range speaker. Am I correct?
I have a set of Proel Extremes where the subs pre-filter the output to the 2-ways on top.
Cheers,
Roy

Hi mate.
FYI Black Widow is Peaveys trade name for one of their Bass Driver (the actual loudspeaker fitted into the cab) ranges. If you have a look on the back of the cab it will give you the model No of the system.
Can you tell me if the speaker has a Horn type trebble unit fitted or just one driver? Most of Peaveys full range cabs are fitted with either a 2" or 4" compression driver. These are frequently blown by bands and heavy disco use but the diaphram/voice coil is a replaceable item on these.
Let me know exactly what you have and I will see what I can do to help

A full range speaker is a full range speaker it shouldn't sound like a sub, unless it is a sub? does it have a horn? maybe the horns are blown?
In any case even if there not blown there not going to sound good using a low powered amp and no ext mixer.
PS, For cheap speakers i can't fault the Scorpion or black widow series Peaveys, I used to have them. I had XT500's, Hysis & UL models.
Gone down the pan since the Hysis model was superseded hence how unpopular they are now.

Peaveys usual config for a full range cab is.
1 or 2 15" Black Widow/s or Scorpion and the 44T or 44XT compression driver with horn.
Some of the Peavey xovers can be set to BI Amp and require two feeds from two amps.
