Topic: Cueing?... maybe?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

How can I set a song to stop playing at a certain point? (e.g. at a break, so I can start the next song without going mental with the mouse). Is it something to do with 'cueing'?

P.S. I haven't got much of a clue about this programme. Just bought it. (In case if I needed to explain that...).

Thanks!

Well you can't program that for all tracks (which would be useless for mixing if a track suddenly stopped), but you can do it on the fly with keyboard. Just map the 'stop' shortcut (and many other functions) to any key you want and you won't need to move the mouse at all.

I suggest you read the manual which you probably have installed with the software, or you can get it here:

Cueing is a term for finding the positions on the next song, which you find usefull for mixing. VDJ can remember these 'cue points' so you can access them instantly with one keyboard/mouse press.

Oh yeah... it works. (Amazing how much a manual can help...)
Nice one, mate!
