I own a korg zero8 mixer. how would I go about creating a custom mapper for it?

Nice mixer, was on my shortlist when buying my mixer a while back.
As for creating a custom mapper, the best way is to create a definition and mapper file. There is a wiki article on that here:

The Korg might not respond to sysex ID (or other sysex) but luckily being a firewire device it will most likely have a unique driver name you can use that if it doesn't.
