Topic: how can i upload a problem vide?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Some times, the tracks dont load until 1 or 2 minutes after i hit the load button. Durin this time i cannot play the track, well its very choppy when i do. It happens on both sides of my decks and is very random. luckily it hasent happend at a show...yet.

Sounds like your comp is working very hard if that's the case.

What are your pc specs? What ype of files are you loading - what length are the tracks?

Do you have a DJ only computer or do you use it for 'everyday' tasks?

A bit more info will help to narrow down the possible causes...:o)

Keep spinnin'...(",)

my computer is up to the task..
its a 3 gig dual core laptop stricly for djing, worked fine for 2 years
again this happens sometimes, then all of a sudden the track loads.

ive only started noticing weird issues with vjd 6.0.2.
for the year and a bit i used 5.2.1 never had major issues
in the 3 weeks ive used 6.0.2, ive noticed a few different issues including this one that were reported.

I must ask ;-)

In the past the same happend to me.
But it was my own mistake.

My external harddrive had an energysave feature.
After 10min without load or do something on the HD, she goes into sleep ;-)

If you hit after these 10min (don't know your's ;-) the load button, VDJ had to wait for the responde of the HD.
The longer the HD needs to wake up, the more it is possible VDJ goes into freeze.

But normaly, after wake up, the control returns and you can go on!

Ok, you work a long time with VDJ, but have even so a look to the Windows (XP/Vista) energysave options and put them to always or maximum performance.

Additional, have a look to the device manager (not sure if this is the right english word ;-) and check the USB-ROOT-HUB properties.
There is also a energy administration for these USB-HUB's.
Make sure, the field is unticked.

Hope it helps

No Hubs, no sleep mode...

Ok, i see!
Sorry i was not talking about an external hub. ;-)
It is the name of the internal usb hub devices in your notebook.

But anyhow!
This is not your problem, i guess!

Are you playing Video's?

I also had back in the past the problem with the load speed when i use Video's and normal MP3's.
The load had the same speed like in your vid!

SBDJ advise me, to use the Regstry Tool from the Tools&Drivers Download area.
Use it and enable Speedload

Next round;-)

Is this on every track? If not can you put the files on another computer and load VDJ and test? You may also want to run a defrag.... It sounds like the file is damaged. 2 yr old data can end up that way. That is why its good to have versioned back up images of your music files.... So you can go back in time and pull the files off your backup image. Also my work uses Symantec for Virus scan and we have found it to be ocrrupting siles!!! I lost so many docs I have done.... Ugh! Also keeping your laptop in a poorly ventalated ares, hot or cold car will result in that sort of damaged data.

I have seen this when loading a long full contious set I have recorded.... Like a 4 hr file... But eventually it loads and never had this on a single track.

Last thought make sure your laptop is not stuck on anupdate, virus scam, or anything else that will hi jack your hard drive or CPU.

it just happens randomly on any track

ive formated my computer a month ago or so. dont think it needs a defrag just yet. computer runs super smooth

no antivirus running.

this only happens in vdj
if i minimize it and use the computer on its own its very responsive
loading tracks in media player is a 2 sec wait time. this is completely random can happen sometimes, or i can go 5 hours without it.

its vdj specific.

im telling u this version 6 needs more attention.
from the video issues, search crashes, among other issues people are reporting, version 6 needs to be looked at.

even some of the sonique visuals make v 6 crash, was tested on 2 comptuers.

anyway its all good.

im giving this software 1 more chance. havent had any major issues live in a few months.
but if i do, NS7 and itch here i come.

cant afford to get paid a 4 figure salary per show and deliver a minimum wage product.

even scratching in vdj 6 is not as good.
in VDJ 5.2.1 the ICDX scratching was so freaking tight it was crazyyyy
in 6, it kinda delays when i let go, its not the same and it will never be the same

ill even record a video to show if the mods will even acknoledge it
but they wotn so why bother.
