I'm after a rack mounted controller with a built in sound card.

Which models/make do I need to be looking at.

Take a look at the Denon HC-4500 - seems to be a 'good one' ;-)

Yes it does.

I've just been looking at it. I know it's a very popular controller with VirtualDJ, but is there any others?

Jimmy, not sure exactly what you're looking for, but the Pioneer DJM-5000 looks like an interesting beast. Not due for release until Oct (not too far away now!), but it seems to have a few nice features! I especially like the sound of the Advanced Talk Over feature, among other things...

Won't be a cheap box, but it seems to have a lot going for it.

I'll certainly be taking a closer look when this baby hits the market...!!

If you decide on a partucular controller, would love to hear what you decided, and why! (From another in the marker for decent controller, athough not necessarily with an in-built soundcard).

Denon DN-HC4500 is a highly recommended rack-mount controller and has its own built-in sound card. You can also link it to a Denon X500 or X900 mixer so that you can use the real mixer crossfader for video crossfading.

Thanks mate,

It certainly looks like the DN-HC4500 is odds on favourite at the moment.
