MIDI DIN 5 Inputs & Outputs are usefull if you want/need to connect MIDI devices (samples, controllers,etc) and link them together.

However, if you are not using such devices, you don't need them.

Well i am using midi controllers and midi mixers but i don't need to hook that up to the sound card right i just hook them up to the computer running VDJ. Right? Wrong? I mean i can get the audio 4 dj sound card and still use it with midi controllers even tho it does not have MIDI I/O because i just hook up the midi controller to my computer running virtual dj.

So a sound card with MIDI I/O you can directly attach to the sound card?
A little confused help me out

Thanks =?

It's for connecting MIDI devices that don't have their own built-in MIDI interface.

Most DJ MIDI controllers have their own built-in USB MIDI interface to make them plug & play, so a separate MIDI interface is not required.
