Topic: Printing Karaoke Lists, Whats an easy way to do this? - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I use virtual dj for all of my karaoke along with regular djing but how can i make booklets of my karaoke songs easily?

I was thinking if there is a program that i can point to my karaoke directory and it just searches through that directory along with all sub directories and made a database reading the ID3 tags. That way i could just design how i wanted it printed and hit print without having to enter all of the little cd codes (which is not really and option). This way it would just pull the tags each time i wanted to print updating the new tracks i have added.

Ideas?

i use a programme called fast tracks pro you can either put the codes in or point it at your karaoke directory, the only problem with that way is you need to make sure all your duplicate karaoke files (if you have any) are named the same otherwise they will show as multiple entries i.e presley, elvis will list under p in the book (it does book alphabetically by surname) but elvis presley will list under e

Theres a soft to read the filename only, called printfolders.
If your files are in format "SINGERNAME - SONGNAME" you can generate a txt file form your folders and subfolders and easily change it on Excel using text formulas.
Could it helps You?

Or I like to use media monkey(its a free download)
1/ Open the player
2/highlite the karaoke folder
3/under file drop down, select list and tell it what format you want it in i.e html, exel
4/open the file that it makes with the correct program
5/print your karaoke books

Hope thats of help? I found it to be the easiest way of doing it and easy to upgrade your books

cheers

Save yourself time and money. I have used this software for years. Probably the best on the market copy and paste the following link.

www.airwer.com

Try before you buy. The only thing you can't do with this trial is print, excellent piece of software for any pro.

ok, someone else that uses this program and might be able to help me cause their support team apparently is on vacation being as I sent them a message 2 weeks ago about not being able to export or print cause when I open/create my list, and hit export or print, all it gives me is the top row (artist, title, MF code, track) but nothing else. any idea on how to fix this?

i used to use the airwer software and compared to fast books pro it is complete crap, if you edit a track then update the database you loose your edits everytime, with fast tracks you add the discs make the book, edit as nesecerry and because it does not load from the main database everytime it saves them all, also airwer does not work correctly with the amount of tracks i have (38,000) i contacted their support about it and i'm still waiting a reply 6 months later

wow, 6 months? I wonder if I can get my 100 bucks back cause I REALLY need this to work cause right now I have 1 book, and its out-dated and I don't want to enter all the tracks in by hand (I have over 11,000 disks worth of songs). but if they haven't responded to you in 6 months, my two weeks ain't shit, lol. I did pay with paypal, so I might be able to dispute it. what do you think I should do?

Someone who know the url til Fast books pro? I could only find Song book pro, maybe it's the same.. I don't know. Maybe someone know a similar software for Mac?

How do this stuff work anayway? I have a lot of karaokesongs on my external drive, but they are not catagorized at all. Not by disk, or genre or anything else.

fast tracks pro will allow you to make a book by reading your karaoke folder but as far as i know fast tracks pro only works for windows

Compared both and found FastTracks pro very inferior. As for Airwer customer support my experience of them has been poor. However if the software is installed correctly you should have not problem. As for editing songs I never had any issues there either. My actual Karaoke books have reference to 24000 individual songs all compiled with Airwer. All I need to do when upgrading is add the saved file to the new one let Airwer do its job then print off a new book.

Both have free trials so try both before you buy.

Thanks for all of your tips. I will go through and test the two software programs you recommend and post a review on the one that worked best. Thanks you guys!

OK, I'll try both. But does anyone know the adress for FastTracks pro?
