I read VDJ 6.0 supports Unicode.
Why setting Russian language, VDJ shows that?
P.S: the russian.xml file looks like to be good.

another thing...
now it saves data(bpm etc.) for korean songs into the database
like it used to do it in the old old versions...
anyway...
you still can not make any searches
i use korean windows xp pro sp3
every other program allows me to switch to korean BUT vdj !!!
i asked for this years ago :-(
the only way to do it is...
to type something outside of vdj (notepad etc.)
and copy & paste it
just curious
anybody from china, japan or some other asian country ???
can YOU do searches ???

The Russian file was not fully translated.
I don't have that picture when I load it. Be sure you didn't change the encoding code of the xml file: it has to be saved in UTF-8 and not in ASCII

Do you need to press 2 keys on your keyboard to get one character?

I use Russian fonts in file names. File names diplay OK but search is case sensitive. So I just renamed all files in CAPS (FILENAME.MP3) and do search in CAPS. That's how it works for me.

I don't understand how I can save in UTF-8 rather than ASCII. I just installed VDJ 6.0 and I changed the name of language in Config->Skins.

Find below what I have with the current Russian language file.
As you can see, everything is not translated yet (and defined in the file).

maybe it depends on my O.S. WindowsXP ?
It's very strange...I can't understand why in your case it looks good.

Everything is working in Russian language interface:
@sischo: Change settings in windows: START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS. Change Format and Language for non-Unicode programs: Russian and Location: Russia. Reboot. Try VDJ.

not simultaneously,
but in a sequence
usually 1 character is made with 2~4 letters

I now understand the issue. I have just added it to the "TOFIX" list.
It's always interesting to see the complexity of some languages (sometimes very old).

Hello. How are you, Matt.
Do you remember me? I think I've asked you long time ago about Korean characters not displaying in virtual dj.
With the new version of virtual dj, that problem is long gone now.
However I've came across another problem.
Now, I can't load a song by dragging onto a deck.
Only way to load a song is from virtual dj browser.
I wonder if you are having the same problem.
Or is it just me?

of course i remember you
how have you been ?
yes, you are right !!!
totally forgot to mentioned this
i'm happy you did
within vdj you can drag/load korean songs,
but not from outside(explorer/search)
whcih was possible in any other former version
please add this to the "TO FIX" list, too
thanx

Yes it's a known issue too and added to the "TOFIX"list. In fact, it just lacks an Unicode conversion between Windows Explorer and VirtualDJ (I have totally forgotten this case whereas I found more complex Unicode cases. Shame on me :-( )
