I tried to do a slight modification to the official v6.0 skin. I extracted the virtualdj6.zip and made the modification. But it says "invalid skin file (error line 0 in the xml). What is wrong?

I even try to just to extract the zip file, it gives me error immediately, even if i haven't changed the xml. I also tried to compress files back to zip, but now the whole skin cannot be found.

I use windows xp. Please help with this!

what did you modify?
Did you check you closed ech line properly?
commands start with <function... >
<size...etc />
</function>

What program did you use to make the edits to your file?
Notepad has issues with the WORD-WRAP feature if enabled.
Look for notepd2 in your search engine.

Also, it is not nessecary to have your skin files ZIPPED. (Though it just looks more tidy if they are zipped)

I use notepad++
But its not the text editor, it happens even after I unzip the zip file before i have touched the xml. I also tried to download some new skins. Skins work from the zip file but not if i extract them. I tried winrar and 7zip for extracting, no difference.

I have extracted and modified skins before on vdj 5.2 and it was never a problem.
