Topic: ATI problem??

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

At some moments... very often... all the controls freeze-up. I still can control them but they are all freeze-up. So I cannot see where the sliders are. That's the bug. Now I would like to know if it's due to my graphic card (ATI All-in-wonder 9700 Pro 128mb). Cause the software is unusable because of this.

thank you

How much RAM?
How long were you using virtualdj ´til the error came?
How big were the files you were playing?

I own a ati 9700 pro 128 too with dual monitor outputs enabled and have no problem.

Have you install Ati Catalyst 3.6 ?

Give us a more detailed description of your computer.
What processor, what speed, how much ram...

This problem is related to Hyperthreading and i just made a short test, it seems to be fixed in VDJ v1.03.

I suggest you verify that you aren't using older version. The version number is shown in the logo when you start it. 1.03 demo is already available.

Holy cow :( I talked too early.. still have this problem, just didn't come out so fast on the first run.

Read the last post of the following topic for temporary solution:

Technical support : Crucial - VDJ acting unstable

The problem is that your computer is too good.
Solution1: Buy a cheaper one and give this one to me :)
Solution2: Disable Hyperthreading
Solution3: Read the post methioned above, there are more solutions there

hehe ;)

But I don't want to disable hyperthreading.
That's not a good idea. :)

I'll wait for a patch.... I hope.
