How does Deckdance compare with Virtual DJ? I noticed Deckadance has native support for a wide array of the latest controllers, including the EKS OTUS and the VCI-300.

Depends what your requirements are? Do you need video support would be the big first question?

Actually I am not trying to change software, I already have my money invested and I am happy with what I have.....but no I don't do video, I have never really seen anyone using Deckadance, just curious if any of you guys have tried it out.

I've tried it out in the past and I didn't really get on with it. I couldn't see anything it gave over VDJ apart from the ability to be used as a VSTi. I'm willing to be corrected though :)

I have bought Deckadance and yes they have come along way with their latest build. I still prefer Virtual DJ as I find it very easy to use. I also admit I use the Sync quite alot as in some venues I cannot hear the music very well with it echoing all over the place, of course that would help if i had some monitore speakers.

I tested the trial version of Deckadance a while ago. It was OK, but the interface seems a bit messy and cluttered compared to Virtual DJ. I've also tested various other DJ software like Traktor, but so far none has beat Virtual.

Each competitor has some nice features, such as effects in Traktor, but Virtual DJ is still the best overall product in terms of features, performance, usability and interface.

And of course VDJ is still the only major software with STABLE video using multiple file formats, user skinable, user plug-ins and an open forum where we can compare and debate competitors programs (I guess that comes with the confidence of knowing you have the best...so bring on the competition!)

hello I have tested deckadance for a review in the versions is the last 1:45 to 1.5.0 RC I can tell you that audio mix for a good software is the only point in my opinion in favor against VDJ is the audio engine, Z-plane, but is relative to the rest our VDJ has not discussed a lot more effects mapper tool all for free to mix video, etc.. while deckadance if you want other effects must to payment. Additional features of deckadance are compatible with different CD Timecode vinyl-such as Serato Stanton msPinky Mixvibes Pcdj VDJ-Torq is the ability to integrate many Fruit Loops Studio controller down mapped Midi can be remapped if you visit the site are all written http://www.deckadance.com but my opinion is that VDJ is much more perfect
