Hye,
My name is Danny.
I am new here.
Yesteray I have bough a Dj Console.
Iwould like to mix with Virtual Dj.
But when I open the software (delivered with hercules dj console "DJconsole 1.09 special version") i get an error:
"Error in the sound driver of DirectX"
When I use the trail version and I put ASIO off I get "protection error 32:please contact --@--.--"
What can I do ?
Please help me.
I would appreciate that very much.

heb je de laatste direct-x drivers geinstalleerd ?
die staan ook op de hdc cd.
have you installed the latest direct-x drivers ?
this is also on the hdc cd.

Dat heb ik gedaan. De laatste versie 9.0c staat erop.
Waaraan zou het dan nog kunnen liggen?

But it still doesn't work. What could be the problem then?

hmmmmm could be your computer does not recognize the console....
Try logging the console in your profile.
Did you have a crack version in your system b4?
Also read the first post in this section of the forum.

My computer recognises the console and opens Virtual Dj when in NON-ASIO mode... The only problem I have then; there is no sound.
When I select the ASIO mode I get the "error in the sound driver of directX"
I did not have a cracked version before. The software I use, is the delivered version with the dj console. (Dj console Special version 1.09)

Start-control panel-system-hardware-device manager ....check under sound

(by the way, In New Dj my console works, but I prefer to use Virtual Dj.)

After unplugging and plugging back my console, Virtual Dj runs, my console also.
But there is no sound comming out of my speakers.

Is your console going into a mixer?
Also make sure to change the console to dj mode after start up or connect/disconnect.
Are we getting somewhere? lol

The protection error is most likely because you have tried a cracked version of Virtual DJ. They dont work right, and only cause problems
The reson for no sound / direct x driver error, is because you have tried to set up more advanced soundcard settings with cracked or trial version, and somehow it have messed up your console version
the console version ONLY works with the Hercules console, and ONLY with it set in 4.1 mode
