Topic: Ripping Promo Only Dvd's on a Mac

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

What software does everyone use to rip promo only dvds? I want a software that will allow me to select which tracks I want to rip so I can uncheck the intros. Any suggestions?

Yes, does promo only do an Mpeg disc? I thought that was only Screen Play?

I use Cinematize Pro to pick what tracks I want. I get an exceptional uncompressed video and audio file (1.5Gb-2GB per video roughly). I then use Visualhub to convert to mpeg2. Each video ends up being between 200mb-350mb big and the quality of video and audio are remarkable. In my experience Virtual DJ Pro works perfectly with these files.

brousscm,

Do you notice a big difference with the way you do it - and just ripping the VOB directly from the disc - say with StreamRipper?
