There are a couple of reasons why itunes might not show up in vdj correctly I'll cover one reason in this post
If your itunes library file is not it in default location such as on a external hard drive it will not show in VDJ at all follow the steps below to fix it.
1. First locate where your itunes database file is actually. Use spotlight its faster
2. Copy your itunes database back to the default location /users/username/music/itunes/
3. Quit itunes, then relaunch while holding option key
4. select choose library point itunes to the newly moved LIB file you copied to the default location
5. Open VDJ and Enjoy itunes playlists (make sure you have them check in the browser tab)

This was a great post thank you so much! So i have the iTunes playlists showing up in my tabs, but now when i load them it says error and won't play. Any ideas?

excuse me for the question.... im evaluating dj software that support itunes playlists.. does vdj support itunes playlists?

you may need to quit itunes after you do this or actually play the track in itunes before it updates the path for vdj to load correctly.

Hi, I still cannot get my itunes playlists to show up in vdj, I have a mac, and have tried virtually everything mentioned in every help thread opened. My library is in the default folder on my mac and it is named correctly i.e. iTunesMusicLibrary.xml. I've reloaded renamed etc etc and my playlists will not show up. I have the default playlists that come with itunes showing up, but there's nothing in them in vdj, and the custom playlists I create will not show up. Any suggestions?
