Hi Fellows and fellettes!
How do i correct the Problem in v5.2 where im trying to record my video mix?
In record menu Audio Record Works fine, but video record say" No Video codec error "
i have win xp with service pack 3 installed, direct x9c installed, and other v5 versions have worked Great with audio only.
also why in record config menu it says mp4, when on all windows systems mediaplayer has probloms with mp4s from fresh install? and codecs are a nightmare to find.
if vlc player was imbedded in windows there would be a lot less compatibility problems with windows and virtual dj, would you agree?
Can any one help please?

Hi rob,
I have never used the record video function, mainly as i am a mac user and it isnt an option in there.
BUT......I have just tested in on my Windows XP machine and it displays the same error.
I know this wont help you to fix it because i dont know what to suggest but atleast you know your not being ignored.

i dont record the video mixes. And in theory if i was id run it into a DVD recorder/HD Recorded - thus eliminating the problem the codecs etc. Prob not ideal but not something i'm worried about doing at the moment.

I was anxiously expecting the version 6 release to experience the video recording feature.
But the problems remains the same: video freezes and audio/video delays.
Yes, Im using the correct MPEG4 codec.
Any ideas to solve this issue?
I tested other capture softwares (as FRAPS) and works fine, without freezes and delays.

I forgot to mention: playback is fine, no delays and freezes.
The question is only about the recording movie feature.
