Topic: Loop displays all wacky with Pern's DAC-2 mapper

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I boot VDJ with my DAC-2 and Pern's mapper I get a "1" displayed in player one and a "4" displayed on player 2 in the loop area on the DAC. I hit the >> and << and they will display "1" "11" "31" etc for the loops. Shouldn't it be "1" "4" "8"? Is this a bug? The player 2 displays "4" "14" "34"

I tried to read the read but I didn't see a reason for the odd numbers. Is this a bug?

Oh yeah and the play/pause button also blinks randomly when I hit play.

Strange indeed. I can do a breakdown of exactly what the display is doing and when. Lately it has been displaying a "1" on player 1 and "2" on player 2 when I start the program. I don't know if that is normal but it gets very confusing when trying to figure out what loop length I am setting it too as the displays are not consistent. A work around is to back it down till I see a negative number then bump it to the right to toggle 1, 2 , 4, 8 or whatever I wanted.

Again I can try to duplicate and post any results.

Other than that and the blinking light (maybe because I have cue points set?) on the play/pause blinking for some reason the mapper is perfect.

Maybe it's just my machine.
