I don't know what happened but I swear I didn't have freezing issues the past builds but now all of the sudden when loading any video to the opposite deck both the main output and the skin freezes til the waveform is finished loading.. I don't know what is going on. Anyone else notice anything similar?? Running 1765. This is with Milkdrop enabled, If I use sonique all runs flawless. Milkdrop works perfect in 7.4.1 so I don't know if it is just a setting in 8 or what.

Two things being worked on for the Mac side:

Quartz Composition support
projectM (which is compatible with Milkdrop presets)

Hopefully I'll get Syphon Client up and running too so you'll be able to pump from Resolume into VDJ, rather than just the other way around.

Huey's been testing a PC equivalent to Syphon for me too with Resolume ;)

And it is badass!! I was and still kinda am as how well its working!! Almost to the point of switching back to a PC from a Mac and thats no BS.......

For now my workaround is to have Sonique on audio only then simply turn on Milkdrop right before I fade to that deck. Workin good like that tonight.

What happens when you try to run it at 1920x1080 then?

You have an orgasm and your head explodes. No really it looks AM-A-ZING!

Oh and vsync on please.

I think you misunderstand me.

What happens if you run your VDJ output at the required resolution, with the plugin enabled and high quality mode (ie 2k texture sizes) enabled?

Control of FPS and vsync are outside a plugins remit; they are controlled by the VDJ video engine obviously.

Scott have you found anything that would be causing the ext monitor to freeze on track load?? Like I said as a workaround I am simply using the effect instead of using it for all my mp3s.

How do we get sonique to work? It does not even show up.

Sonique files are now natively supported.

If you place your soniques in this folder:
MyDocument/VirtualDJ/Plugins/Visualisations

The you should see them in the effects lists.
