1. The Staff are reading all of this, and taking notes, and taking us seriously. See my my posts in wishes&features
2. Some performers use Automix for very good reasons, not just to stand there and let the software do everything for us.
3. The Automix function works, but it's not user friendly. So let's work together and try to explain to Atomix what we need! I'm surethat they can check it and adapt it and make us all happy.

@PachN I have thought about that but isn't the right thing to mix-in when the beat starts? Ok you've lost the first lyrics but it would be a perfect mix althought...
Also if there is a way to find the bpms in a Vocal only song they can use the same algorithm to trackdown the vocals before the first beat, making 16 bars parts... (first beat -16 bars... is it a pitched vocal? then add a poi... - 16 bars is it a pitched vocal? move the poi etc.)
As i said i'm no specialist...

@chreece your correct but we have to remember not everyone is beat mixing with automix some just do the back to back thing. I fear to make everyone happy with all the varried uses will be very tricky. This is why I'm not sure it's broke and that we just need to utilize the poi to get it to work our way.

Yeah man, I agree completely, if I want to beatmix, or scratch, or play with my music .. I drop out of automix and get into my flow on my decks.

I am not asking miracles to be done with Automix - I just want it to work just like it did in v7.4.1. Automix in SMART mode works and I still use it today.
I am a corporate / wedding DJ and use these features - a major selling point for me to purchase VDJ over other software.
I just cant understand why its still called Automix when manual intervention is still required? You didn't need any intervention with v7.4.1 it just worked.
Note to development team: Extract the 7.4.1 algorithm and use that!

Never saw that on DD but I had a look at fitmix, with the user selecting tracks from the fitmix library all the cue work has been done.
Just for poops and giggles I tried a fairly long automix with a load of garbage from my charty 128bpm folder and on smart it didn't really pass muster, but when I jumped into the automix editor and shifted stuff it got a lot better.

You're loosing the point of the thread.
It's about automix working as it should.
It's not about man vs the machine.
Sometimes you let for somereason the laptop unattendend and if there is a feature that can automix your songs it should work perfect!
Plesse don't loose the point of this thread, saying: i don't use this stuff, it doesn't help... Someone else use it for bis own reasons and because he paid a program that has this feature he expects it to work...

They can't just magically fix all the problems with the software in one go. They have to tackle them one by one.

It hasn't worked SINCE MAY... It's not a new problem.
They have 60+ betas and new versions....
No one asked for it to be done over night... but they have been asking.
Again, with NO reply from Atomix except to say why they closed a duplicate thread... ????

Please Atomix work on Automix. I just did a big wedding last weekend with more than 400 people. Yes i mix in realtime during the party/dance portion but often rely on automix during the buffet or dinner so I can eat as well and converse with the wedding planner, etc. I was aghast that I could not get it to work when before updating it worked just fine. I tried everything but in the end had to cue manually each track on 2 decks. In the past you could see the next track ready to play. Also and maybe this is another thread (haven't checked yet) but the "sideview options" dot/button in the far lower righthand corner DOES NOT WORK. No matter left click or right click it simply shows "add a shortcut" What the heck? Where is the former menu? Please fix. These issues are a nightmare when performing which already is enough stress without these features NOW not working correctly. Thanks

The sideview options indeed shows options to add shortcuts to the sideview.
For automix, select the automix sideview button (third one from the left), now you can access automix options at the right-top, and activate/de-activate automix with the button there too.
Once automix is activated, it still shows the upcoming song for me on the deck used for automix.
As for the others with automix issues, please try to give specific examples so that your results can be reproduced.
Specifically:
-Which automix mode (smart/remove silence/...)
-Which 2 songs were used
-What was the expected result, what actually happened (if you say v7 was working better, also try the same songs in v7)
-Check in the POI editor for both songs which POI start points and which POI exit points were automatically filled in
-Try the latest beta version (currently build #2048) and rescan both songs for bpm/poi's, then try again and see if the problem remains

I just loaded 2048 and have reanalysed a few tracks, wow! this is a great improvement on the positioning and automatic setting of the mix poi's.
